Ready for Heaven in 2007

Ready for Heaven in 2007

We had a wonderful time at the temple on Saturday the 6th for the culmination of our ward "Ready for Heaven in 2007". Here is a picture taken that morning. We are just missing our missionary, but we figure he is ready for heaven too!

England...the last days

England...the last days

Here is the last installment of pictures. The trip was so wonderful thanks to all those that helped out. Special thanks to the LeSueurs for the tickets. To the kids for taking care of each other. To the Jamisons for hosting us. To the area presidency for the time and the vehicle. To mom and dad for their support. Hopefully we will get the comments up soon as well.

More Arizona Skies!

More Arizona Skies!

There I was, anxiously awaiting Mom and Dad's arrival in the next-door-neighbor's driveway, playing basketball with 'me' own brothers. I take the shot and, of course, swish it. I smile and look to 'me' left and saw such a wonderful site! I quickly left the game o' speed and grabbed 'me' Nikon camera and took several pictures. I love the Arizona sky when it isn't blaring down on you!

Mom and Dad are back...

Mom and Dad are back...

...and they brought First Class to the family! I guess the first class people get little bags with "night stuff" in them, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, socks, earplugs and a blindfold. Ma and Pa gave the bags to several kids. Adam absolutely loved the blindfold and earplugs. So much so that he actually went to bed with them on! I happened to walk by his room and spotted the kid and snapped a quick photo. I like those things. He seemed to be in a better mood this morning! Or maybe that could be because of the chocolate Mom and Dad brought home. We ate a bunch of it last night and this morning! What a great breakfast! Ü

England...another few days

England...another few days

Here is the Benbow farm barn where Wilford Woodruff preached the gospel and people were hanging from the rafters. This is Grandma Jamison, Diana and I and the current owner of the farm, Louise Manning. Here are some more pictures and movies with comments to come...hopefully!

Akemashite Omedetou Gozaimasu (Happy New Year!)

Akemashite Omedetou Gozaimasu (Happy New Year!)

Here is a rare posting from Japan. This was taken yesterday at our New Years day luncheon at Chiaki's uncle's house. Her grandma lives there, and we took the opportunity to have our picture with her. She is 97! Chiaki's dad is 73 and is in the picture with us.
We ate lots of traditional Japanese food, including raw snapper that her uncle caught. Chiaki's aunt and cousin spent almost 3 days preparing all the food, there was about 30 different types!!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from the Free kids! We had a lot of fun (75 photos worth) with the tripod-camera duo. It started out with me taking a picture of Becca, Danny, Josh and Andrew, but we were able to fit me in with the timer function. Melinda was able to join in a bit later. We had several goof-ups, because our timing was off, but we got some great group photos and singles! Perhaps my Dad can help me (again) in posting all of the photos on the website...I forgot how! Too much fun!
P.S. I am the first to post on the blog in 2007! Ü

Becca and Melinda's Newly Refurbished Bed

Becca and Melinda's Newly Refurbished Bed

This is what mine and Melinda's bed lookes like after I have made it. What really happened was my cat Sox threw-up on our real bed, and so because mum and dad are gone, we decided to borrow their bed. And so, we decorated it to our liking, with 14 pillows, 7 for each of us!!!!!! Man our we spoiled or what?!!!!

England...the next few days

England...the next few days

Here is the next set of pictures of the wonderful adventure others are providing for us. Among the most wonderful to find were these two pictures. These are most likely the homes of James Wheeler and his parents William and Esther and Emma Packer and her parents Isaac and Sophia in Newbury and Reading respectively.

Arizona Sunrise

Arizona Sunrise

'Twas the second day after Christmas and all through the house were shouts of "Michael! Michael! Come hither!" I did go thither and my heart went all-a-flutter and grew 10 sizes bigger! I did done see that beautiful sky and raced to my room and seized my camera and its tripod. I took several pictures and decided: "Perhaps I should share this lovely shot with others, so their hearts can grow too." And that is how this Arizona Sunrise picture was uploaded to the blog. THE END

Flipped!

Flipped!

Just to prove my previous statement...here is the flipped position on the next day!

Gameboy...BOYS!

Gameboy...BOYS!

Isn't this photo great? I was just testing out my new tripod, from Christmas, for my camera by taking pictures of my family. I came to the family room (good place to start, eh?) and found Danny and Braylen (Danny's friend) sitting on the couch in the same position along with Andrew. I quickly took the picture, although being quick wasn't necessary because they ended up staying there for quite awhile! And guess what I found the next day! They were on the same couch but flipped, meaning Braylen was on the right and Andrew was on the left! Hilarious!

England...the first few days

England...the first few days

Well, because of the generosity of others Diana and I were able to meet with Diana's parents in England. We have a well planned (thanks to Diana's Dad) visit. Here are some of the first pictures. Many are specifically for Becca so she could see what first class was like. We won't get the comments on these until Sunday. But wanted the kids to see what has happened so far...
