John & Jenn
New Home in Pleasant Grove!
Sat, 01/31/2009 - 1:58pm — JenSome of you have been begging us to post these pictures for awhile. I know Rachel is dying to see them and Elizabeth Campbell too. Jopes and Elizabeth have been patiently waiting too. Marilee and Holly have been trying to get over to see it too but we have been sick with flu for a couple weeks and busy. We love our new place. The mountains are so close by and the view of the valley is beautiful. You can check out more pictures here on my photobucket just copy and paste this link into your browser!
Please let me know if you can see them okay, Rachel. I resized them so that they wouldn't be so huge too.

Tue, 11/04/2008 - 9:02am — JohnThis is our fearsome duo! Audrey, as Jen says, is no longer into the sweet costumes. So, without further delay I introduce Countess Audrey Free! Bringing the sweet side to our Halloween component is the Snow Princess Savannah. We finished off the night with the girls taking Jen and I to High School Musical 3 at the Scera! We had a Cake Cook off that happened in September, that turned into a Cake Decorating extravaganza!!!!!! We had two teams consisting of; Audrey representing Sweet Tomboys, Momma Jen and Savannah were the Sweet Cakes! The battle was fierce, creative juices flowing, sugar headaches following…….. ENJOY!!!!!!!
Audrey's New Glasses and blog about Savannah in ER
Mon, 06/30/2008 - 4:40pm — JenToday Audrey joined the glasses club! She is the same age (nine) when her mother got her first pair of glasses! She loves wearing her glasses and cannot wait to show them off to everyone. She is supposed to wear them at school or church. She doesn’t need to wear them while doing homework, reading, and playing outside. As for Savannah, on Sunday after church, Savannah found a small red bead on the floor. She decided to see what it feels like sticking the bead up her nose. To her surprise, it got stuck and came to Mom hoping I could pull it out. I grabbed the tweezers and tried to pull it out, which by the way is a big no no since it was located high up in her nose. I was lucky I didn’t damage any tissue. I gave up after a few minutes and told John to take her to the emergency room because I was worried it may travel to her sinus or respiratory system. She got a chalk board from the ER nurse. The nurse said, “You have to give this chalk board back to me if you put anything else up your nose.” Savannah agreed with the nurse saying she won’t put anything up her nose ever again (crossing my fingers she will keep that promise). Anyway she was brave throughout the procedure. She didn’t scream or shed a tear. The doctor had John try to blow in her mouth while plugging the unaffected side of her nose to see if the bead would fall out, which was unsuccessful. So the doctor used some long tweezers and some hook thing to pull the bead out. Hopefully, her emergency room experience was traumatic enough that she won’t ever do that again!

Lauren's 12 Days of Christmas
Wed, 12/05/2007 - 10:36pm — RichardWe (Elizabeth, Mandy, Brandon, Marilee, Richard, Jordan, Jen, Audrey, Savannah) watched Lauren perform at the Scera Theater for her singing group, the Headliners. She did a great job, much better than my cellphone could capture. Anyway, enjoy within the limits of hand-held technology. :-)
Here is some cell-phone-video of the concert.

Silver Lake Fishing Trip with John, Jen, Jessica, James, and Heather!
Sun, 11/04/2007 - 1:00pm — JenOn Saturday November 3, 2007, we got up early to go hiking and fishing up American Fork Canyon. The hike was long and exhausting. We were impressed that James and Heather's dog Fender made the hike without a problem! We saw a total of 12 moose while hiking up to the lake and almost got chased by a cow and calf moose, which was kind of scary. James caught three fish, Jen caught one, Jessica caught one, John caught one, and Heather caught one. This was Heather and Jessica's first time fishing!

Pre-MTC Party for Justin
Thu, 05/24/2007 - 7:24am — joefreeHere are a few pictures of all those who have good wishes and admiration for Justin as he enters the MTC.
We had a lovely family Home evening in Rosanna and Pedro's house. Marilee and her girls sang "Sweet is the work" with their beautiful voices blending wonderfully. That set me up to teach the lesson on fear faith and the spirit. Justy is such a good example of humility, like Mike, that it was easy to show how being filled with charity will make them fearless as he enters into the unknown, possibly fearful, work of teaching the gospel. It was also easy to show by his example that remission of sins brings the gift of the Holy Ghost which in turns gives the gift of charity. In that audience it was natural to testify of the invitation of the the savior for all, no matter their transgressions, to come to him and become clean. We had a nice outpouring of the spirit.
Amazingly the member of the Mission Presidency who came to set Justy apart was our Mission President when we were in the Rochester Mission. That made his setting apart very special. Interesting how the Lord blesses us continually.
