Nate's Mission Call!

Nate's mission call arrived on Friday the 10th! It came to Mesa, he was in Provo so he "opened it" via Skype. Here are a couple of video's of it. The first is a screen capture. The second is from Joe's iPhone. Buon Appetito!

Nate Leads the Haka

Our stake sponsored an outstanding Aaronic Priesthood encampment last week. Nate, McKay and I got to go from our family and Joe, Daniel, Josh, and Andrew also went. Each ward was asked to provide a short entertainment. Our ward decided to learn a Maori Haka. Nate ended up being the leader, McKay is on the far left.

Roadtrip Video

The Priests in our ward went on an outing last Friday and Saturday. On the way home Jake had his video camera in the backseat. Between him and the 9 other Priests in the van (including Nate) this is what the they came up with.

It is even better when you realize that they did this while the van was hurdling down the winding road from Payson to Mesa at 70 to 80 mph. Thankfully all that was required of the driver was stopping and starting the music CD...

Colorado trip, Utah visitors and Sisters

Colorado trip, Utah visitors and Sisters

Here are some pictures Dad took. He promises to put some descriptions with them. They come from a visit to Jean and Evan and Reid and Rebecca in Colorado, Dave's family trip up to the cabin and Mom's sisters.

Fun at home!

Fun at home!

I was able to get a week off of work and visit home! The best part about it was I surprised everyone! When I walked inside mom was in the kitchen. I snuck up on her, put my arms around her, and said "hi". She was totally surprised, and her reaction was definitely worth coming here for. Part of the time I spent at home, we decided to go camping in Canyon Creek. You can check out the pictures by clicking here.

Here are a bunch of photos of the last few days before Mike entered the MTC. It was great getting together with so many to wish this wonderful missionary the best. The drop off at the MTC was awesome - I'm green with envy that he gets to stay there!

Anyway, here they are for all to enjoy.

Swimming Starts

Swimming Starts

Becca is loving swimming. She is with lots of ward friends and family! Here she is with Lauren. We have a few more pictures here that show not only swimming but Daniel getting his "Star" and some monsoon clouds and rainbows, and even a picture of lightening!

A few hundred family pictures...

A few hundred family pictures...

Ok, our pictures aren't nearly as exciting as James & Heather, but what we lack in quality, we make up for in quantity.

Grandma, there are individual and family photos for you--pick your favorite. And, yes, Jeremy does put his shirt on. Click here for hours of fun. Click on the names along the top to see each gallery.

PS-For all the happy Mac people out there, I created the galleries using iWeb and then just published to a folder and then got it to Joe. Works great.

Nate's New Chick Magnet

Nate's New Chick Magnet

Some guys will do anything for a little attention. Nate took a fall in P.E. yesterday and ended up with a broken wrist. After several hours in various doctor waiting rooms and miscommunication about which end of the arm was broken, he and Kristin ended up at an orthopedic surgeon in Chandler. It was a bad brake. In fact the growth plate was shifted out of place. The surgeon in Chandler said they could either do surgery or he could try inserting a needle and shoving it into place--nothing like a forward thinking doctor. So they tied his fingers to hold his arm straight up, drained some blood to reduce the swelling, and then shoved it into place with a needle. Did I mention they had deadened the wrist by that time? The current cast stays on for 3 weeks then he will go back for a smaller one.

Indoor Lacrosse Rocks!

Indoor Lacrosse Rocks!

Brett this picture is for you. Jake's lacrosse team got a chance to be the half time entertainment at the Arizona Stings game on Friday night. The Arizona Sting are a professional indoor lacrosse team. They play in the Glendale arena. Think hockey without ice and that about sums up the game. It is amazing what the pros can do with their stick--just like an extension of their arm. They were fun to watch. Jake's team was also fun to watch. He is number 8, black jersey righ in the middle--you'll just have to take my word for it. He did great. He decked a couple of kids and scored a goal. Nate and I were pretty impressed--with the goal of course.

Nate & McKay Mobile

Nate & McKay Mobile

Nate and McKay spent some time on Saturday turning the bike trailer into a 3 wheeler of sorts. It really works! In fact this picture was taken when it was time to come home from Joe's and Nate gave both Jeremy and Madison a ride.
