Mesa Scorpions...

Mesa Scorpions...

Tonight we went on a scorpion hunt in our yard. You have to do that every so often, seems to be the only effective way to keep them out of your house. So we go out with a black light and some walking sticks and look for the bright green specks on the walls. It is pretty exciting. Our good friend, and new Mesa resident, Dan Crites, came over to help us get 14 tonight! (It has been awhile) He had two of the hardest catches, one high up in the eaves of the house, and one on the branch of some vines. Thanks Dan!
I realized after talking to Brett that many of you haven't been hunting with us. Here is a couple of pictures I took some time ago of a mother scorpion with babies on her back. I shot it also with the black light on. It was hard to hold still... Just looking at these and yo

Panaca 2005

Panaca 2005

A few of us snuck over to Panaca on Friday for a couple of hours. We looked at the Wheeler Ranch, played in the sand dunes and swam in the spring! This is a great time of year for the tadpoles or pollywogs. You could see them popping up to get a gulp of air. It looked like bubbles all over the surface! Too fun. The picture will link you to many pictures of the adventures that day. I got carried away with the Wheeler Ranch...but that site had a sacred feeling to me.

Here are some pictures a wonderful friend took of our kids swimming at her pool. She then sent us these picture montages. It feels great to see the kids so happy, and feels even better to know that we have friends that love our kids too! Thanks Shaunna!

Last family portrait for 2 years!

Last family portrait for 2 years!

We went to the mall today to take our family picture. We decided to dress up this year since it was going to be the last one together for a couple of years . After several poses the photographer said "have some fun and hug each other". We are just the group to have fun...it was our favorite pose. Hope you enjoy it.

Our new family photo...

Our new family photo...

We decided to try a new tricky family photo. Everyone got on the trampoline with their heads in the center and Uncle Rich climbed up to the treehouse and "shot us". Thanks Uncle Rich! One thing you can't see in the photo is that our heads are much lower than our feet...see that nice color in our faces?

First Free Turkey Fry

First Free Turkey Fry

After talking about it for years, Dave finally did it. He got a Turkey Fryer. We had two turkeys, the frozen slow cooked over night and the deep fried variety. Here are the "men" that did it. By the way, it was delicious!

Halloween '04

Halloween 04

Here is the gang that were rarin' to go trick-or-treating. Actually they ended up going trunk-or-treating at our church and then Becca and Daniel went to another church too. Doesn't it look like they are ready to go?

Joshua & Andrew in Yellowstone

One of our last stops on the way out of the park. We were using our
binoculars to view the Elk in the background. But this tree was such a
great thing to climb on...
