Swimming, splint, soccer, suds and selebration!

Swimming, splint, soccer, suds and selebration!

Here are some pictures taken in the recent past. Including the amazing Prince Zuko cake made by Melinda for Becca's birthday. If you don't know who Prince Zuko is, then email or call Becca...she can fill you in. All I can say is the guy has some pretty serious facial scarring!

Paragonah, Panaca Photos Posted - Pretty Ponies

So I tried it again. I think I did pretty good, except it should be photos of wild horses, not pretty ponies. At least I didn't put 'pneumonia' on there Ü (Brian Regan). Enjoy!

Here's the link to the photos that I took while with Grandpa. Check them out!

Thanks to Dad for helping me get them up. I now know how to post multiple pictures! Hurray!

P.S. Doesn't this picture of the Kilns make the perfect Wallpaper or Desktop Picture?

Josh broke his little finger on his left hand. It seems to have affected more than his hand.

Swimming Starts

Swimming Starts

Becca is loving swimming. She is with lots of ward friends and family! Here she is with Lauren. We have a few more pictures here that show not only swimming but Daniel getting his "Star" and some monsoon clouds and rainbows, and even a picture of lightening!

Awesome Arizona Monsoon Sky

Awesome Arizona Monsoon Sky

On September 4th just after dinner and before family night we all went out to see an amazing sky. There was a brilliant rainbow that at some points was fully revealed. But the clouds were awesome and some rain was coming in, combined with the setting sun it was cool. This picture is a composite of 5 images that were stitched together.

You can see most of our gang and others in the picture. I think we have (left to right): Joshua (across the street), Diana, Melinda (doing some airbending it appears!), Andrew, Adam (behind the pole), Jeremy, Rebecca, Bailey, McKay, Maddie, Hunter and Joshua (he crossed the street by the time this part of the picture was taken!). A few more minutes and Nate showed up...don't know where Daniel was..probably out of the picture.

Pictures from Madison, Wisconsin

Pictures from Madison, Wisconsin

We got a package from Joseph today with two HUGE pictures of him. I guess he got them from one of the families he has worked with (according to his latest letter). Anyway I think this is the family that gave it to him...along with egg rolls and a rice dish he loves.

We have uploaded over 180 megabytes of compressed pictures to the site. We don't know what is going on in each of them. But eventually there will probably be captions.

Check them out HERE.

Jello popcorn and family night...check out the video!

Jello popcorn and family night...check out the video!

OK, so this picture is not of the popcorn fun. It is of the temple builders, Jeremy and Adam. They kept running out to the "office" and dragging Dave and I in to see their progress. Before the day was done they had two temples and a nice fence around them both.

So, last night Becca was treats and Melinda was games. So they decided we would make jello popcorn balls for treats. We popped and cooked and stirred and then smeared the butter on the hands. Then before we got many balls made we just started eating. This is very sticky stuff. Check out these pictures which includes a movie of Daniel...too funny.

Fun with Photo Booth

Fun with Photo Booth

Grandma and Grandpa were here and their old computer lost it's power supply so they decided to get a new one. It is gorgeous. It has a built in camera for video conferencing and you can use a program called photo booth to do weird things to your face. So we had a good time trying it out. Here are many more...uh...portraits!

Adam finally gets to the beach!

Adam finally gets to the beach!

We finally made it to the beach. Adam was pretty happy. Every week he would tell his primary teacher he was going to the beach that week...all summer long. Now he can say he did!

Here are some more pictures of the gang that made the one day 4am to midnight trip with us. It was fun we saw 6 movies enroute!

Pre-adult Paragonah Praying Mantis Plays Part of Free Fourth Family Fun

Pre-adult Paragonah Praying Mantis Plays Part of Free Fourth Family Fun

Here is a tiny praying mantis on Rebecca's hand. She found it out by grandpa's garden as we were having a fire in the back yard. You should have seen the kids faces when Grandma and Grandpa suggested we roast marshmellows out back. Ah, it was great.

Some of the pictures are time-lapsed images of Daniel and Joshua wiggling their burning sticks in the air.

There are then a couple of shots of the great family activities they had on the church lawn.

You can find the pictures here.

Do you know Hannah Duston(Dustin)?

Do you know Hannah Duston(Dustin)?

She was the first woman in the United States to have a statue created in her honor and she is your ancestor!

It is an amazing story. You can find the stories on our new history site.

1st Annual Father's Day Campout at Canyon Creek

1st Annual Father's Day Campout at Canyon Creek

We had a great time camping at Canyon Creek on Friday and Saturday at the invitation of the Sowards. We left at about 5am and got there in about two hours. Everyone had success fishing, playing, eating, relaxing, and even sleeping...well mostly! We also enjoyed the cooler weather and I think it will be the first annual...so come and join us next father's day!
See lots more photos here.

Not near enough...

Not near enough...

Saw salary.com has a cool calculator where you can figure out how much a Mom would make if she were paid for what she actually did. I have had the chance to see a little more what Diana does this week as the kids and I have been fending for ourselves without her. So I can fully endorse this payment and think it might be a little low!
The site is fun, you can enter the number of children and hours you do certain things and include your zip code to see your own check.
Click on the picture to see my best guess at Diana's check.
Way to go Moms!

Melinda Graduates!

Melinda Graduates!

Melinda graduated! Diana and I got to go up there and enjoyed the hospitality of many. We enjoyed great conversation and a wonderful breakfast in Paragonah before arriving in Provo. The Provo Jamisons just opened their house to us and we loved it. We were able to celebrate a graduation and Diana's Birthday. Check out some more of the pictures here. One evening it was just beautiful in their front yard...be sure to check them out.
